Bose Institute has an established Ph.D. programme in physical sciences, life sciences and interdisciplinary sciences. The institute is a national pioneer in research on astroparticle physics and cosmic rays, foundations of quantum physics and interdisciplinary physics. Path-breaking research in the fields of plant sciences, structural biology, molecular biology, biomedical sciences and biotechnology has been conducted at the Institute. Many of our alumni have become reputed experts in their fields.

The Institute runs a vibrant Integrated M.Sc. - Ph.D. programme.

We also have an active postdoctoral programme through which we recruit Research Associates.

Admission to Integrated Ph.D. programme in 2019

Bose Institute will be accepting applications for the Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. programme, scheduled to begin in August 2019. Selections would be based on an interview to be conducted at Bose Institute in 2019. To apply for the Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. programme in Life Sciences, the applicant should have qualified the JGEEBILS examination scheduled on December 9, 2018. To apply for the Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. programme in Physical Sciences, the applicant should have qualified the JEST examination scheduled on February 17, 2019. We would attempt to intimate details, updates and deadlines of the application procedure on our website, before the declaration of  JGEEBILS / JEST results.
